The Weight of Existence

Oil on Canvas · 42 × 59 cm · 2025

The Weight of Existence is a profound exploration of the human spirit under invisible burden. The figure’s face, pressed down by an unseen hand, becomes a universal symbol for the forces that shape our destinies without consent — history, expectation, fate. Earthy tones dominate the palette, speaking of mortality and memory, while a subtle sky in the background whispers of freedom not yet attained. The work holds tension between suppression and endurance, evoking empathy through its raw vulnerability. It is not a portrait of despair, but of survival beneath unseen weight.
