This work is an act of deep reverence—a translation of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic fresco, The Last Supper, into the demanding, meditative discipline of stippling (dot art). The core challenge was translating Da Vinci’s complex chiaroscuro and dramatic tension using only the density of dots. I used extremely fine pens to build every figure and architectural detail. The light pouring from the windows, which highlights Christ's figure, is achieved by simply leaving the paper untouched. Conversely, the deepest shadows are built by intense dot-work, giving the figures their dramatic, weighty presence. In essence, this is a meditation on time. By painstakingly reconstructing this masterpiece through a rigorous modern technique, I sought to bridge five centuries of art, inviting viewers to experience a familiar, profound moment with entirely new eyes.
