The Black Face

Marble · 60 × 80 cm · 2025

The Black Face is a sculptural exploration of the human spirit amid conflict. Broken marble pieces are rebuilt into a single, expressive face, symbolizing resilience and transformation. By manipulating the material horizontally, Nazem creates a composition that challenges traditional sculpting, offering a fresh, modern perspective on form and meaning.
