The Aristocrat

Oil on Canvas · 59 × 84 cm · 2023

The Aristocrat is satire cloaked in elegance. A goose, adorned in layers of pearls too tight to ignore, adopts the posture of nobility — its expression poised, its pride unshaken. Yet beneath the luxury lies the truth of nature, raw and unrefined. The contrast between instinct and ornament becomes a commentary on illusionary grandeur and inherited status. With playful dignity, the painting reveals the comedy of human vanity: how easily power is performed, how quickly it unravels under the gaze of honesty.
